A tour of the console

Where everything lives in the coview console: Home, Inbox, Live now, Tickets, Sessions, Customers, Analytics, Team and Settings.

The console is where your team works: at coview.work/app, in the browser. Sign in with Google, Microsoft, a 6-digit code sent to your email, or your company's single sign-on. There's no password to remember, and signing in for the first time creates your account.

The sidebar shows only what your role may use. Permissions are checked by coview's server on every request, so a hidden item is also an action your role can't take. See Members and roles.

The sidebar

ItemWhat it's for
HomeWhat needs you now: conversations waiting for a reply (longest wait first) and people clicking without result on your site right now. Key numbers, recent sessions, who on the team is online, and a Finish setting up list for a new workspace.
InboxLive chats with visitors. The badge counts what's waiting. See Answer chats in the inbox.
Live nowEveryone on your sites right now, with a live stream of what they do. Message, call, watch or co-browse from here. See Live now and watching a visitor.
TicketsConversations that need follow-up, with priorities, response targets and the session attached. See Tickets.
SessionsRecordings of what real visitors did. See Watch a recorded session and Find the sessions you need.
CustomersThe people your sites know. Search by name or email; a profile shows their recordings, conversations, location and device, with a Message button, plus Watch live and Request control while they're online.
ToolsShortcuts to the settings of the live tools, such as co-browsing and calls.
AnalyticsHow your team answers and what visitors run into, day by day.
TeamMembers, invitations, roles and permissions, and the audit log.
SettingsWorkspace and site settings, in a menu of their own.

Settings

Settings opens on the first page your role may open. The menu includes:

  • Install & widget: the snippet, the widget's look, auto-capture, identity verification, and your sites and domains.
  • Privacy: what is recorded and masked, and how long recordings stay.
  • Co-browsing: what visitors see when your team asks to help on their screen, and where agents may never take over.
  • Calls: whether visitors can call you, video, and this month's call minutes.
  • Tickets & targets: response targets, business hours and ticket types.
  • Saved replies: answers your team sends often.
  • Integrations: Slack, webhooks and API keys.
  • Billing: your plan, this month's use, and payment.
  • Security & SSO: ways to sign in, your domains, single sign-on, user provisioning, sessions and networks.

A site's settings (the widget, recording, co-browsing and calls) are kept per site. When your workspace has more than one site, pick it from the Site menu at the top of the page.

Analytics

Pick a range of 7, 30 or 90 days. Days are in UTC, and today updates as it happens.

  • This range: conversations and how many were resolved, average first response, average resolution, and sessions recorded (with how many had rage clicks).
  • Live help: calls that connected, call minutes, missed calls, and sessions an agent co-browsed.
  • Daily charts, and a By agent table with each person's resolved conversations, first responses and average first response.

Your status and alerts

Your status sits at the foot of the sidebar, with how many agents are online. Click it to switch between Online and Away, turn the sound for new messages on or off, and enable desktop notifications.
